For the first time, an NLRB judge has ruled against Apple, the world's most valuable company, for violating worker's rights. The judge ruled that Apple violated the rights of retail employees at its World Trade Center store in NYC by “coercively interrogating” workers about their union support and restricting the circulation of union flyers. The judge is requiring the company to “cease and desist” from interrogating workers about their legally-protected labor organizing. “What Apple executives are doing is wrong, and we have your back and will hold them accountable,” said secretary-treasurer Sara Steffens. Workers everywhere should take notice of this ruling against Apple. It demonstrates that companies, no matter what their net worth is, simply cannot continue to violate worker's rights. Alphabet Workers Union is officially filing a ULP with the National Labor Relations Board, alleging that the company illegally targeted these workers to discourage them and others from exercising their right to organize. Paizo Workers Ratify First Union Contract |
More than 40 workers with United Paizo Workers have voted to ratify their first union contract. Teamsters Authorize Strike at UPS |
UPS Teamsters have voted with an overwhelming 97% to authorize a strike. If UPS does not accept workers core demands, such as higher pay for part-timers, more full-time jobs, and an end to the unfair tiered labor system, workers will indeed strike on August 1, making it the largest industry strike in decades.
